• Storybook Land Canal Boats
  • Enter through the exit, ask a cast member for instructions. May require a return time. There will be steps to navigate and you will have to board and get off the boat.
• Snow White's Enchanted Wish(transfer access vehicle available)
  • Enter through the exit, ask a cast member for instructions. May require a return time. You can also request a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
• Astro Orbitor
  • Wheelchairs will use standard queue, ECVs will use exit ramp and ask a cast member for instructions. Return time may be required for ECV users.
• Autopia(transfer device available)
  • Enter standard queue, you will be directed to use the elevator and transfer.
• Star Tours – The Adventures Continue(transfer access vehicle available)
  • Use standard queue.
• Space Mountain (transfer device available at designated transfer and load area)
  • Enter through exit and you will see a cast member at a desk right next an elevator, return time will be required.
• Big Thunder Mountain Railroad(transfer access vehicle available)

California Adventure

All of the rides in California Adventure will not require a return time nor you to enter through the exit, you will use the standard queue for all these.

These attractions require Guests to walk by themselves or be assisted by members of their party. In this case, if you are able to walk then you will want to park your wheelchair/ECV in the closest stroller parking area.

As you can see above, Disneyland Resort is extremely accessible for those that need to use a wheelchair at Disneyland and California Adventure. If you're ever unsure of how to proceed, you can also ask the cast member at the entrance of an attraction and they will guide you. Disneyland Wheelchair Guide Shows and Fireworks

Every show at Disneyland has a bit of a different policy so I always recommend asking the cast member in advance. Usually guests with disabilities are seated first (each show will have a wheelchair/ECV designated space) before letting in other guests. You will have the choice to remain in the wheelchair/ECV or park it before walking to your seat, depending on individual mobility.

For shows at larger theaters, like the Fantasyland Theater, guests with disabilities will often be seated before the rest of the audience is admitted so they can have their needs accommodated. All of the shows and theaters at Disneyland Resort provide accommodations for wheelchairs and ECVs. Just ask the nearest cast member as each process will be a bit different depending on the show. Disneyland is extremely inclusive of guests with disabilities and I have had nothing but positive experiences with cast members.

As for fireworks and nighttime spectaculars like World of Color and Fantasmic!, there are designated disability areas in place. Usually these areas won't allow enough space for your entire family to join you, just one additional person. These areas are all also first come, first serve and can (and often do!) fill up so I always recommend showing up 60-90 minutes before show time so you know you're covered. I've seen many guests disappointed if they show up and the disability viewing area is full but it's not reserved seating and there's only so much space offered.

I understand it can get stressful trying to figure out exactly where to go for these busier shows so here's a specific breakdown for each one:

Fantasmic!

There is a specific section allocated for wheelchair/ECV users that's located on the far right (next to the dining package areas) closest to Riverbelle Terrace. Talk to the cast member in this area and they will direct you. The entrance is located just to the left of the entrance to ride the Mark Twain Riverboat/Sailing Ship Columbia. Seating in this area is not guaranteed and tends to fill up quickly so arrive at least 90 minutes in advance to ensure a spot.

You can also purchase a Fantasmic! dining package and guests that need to remain in their wheelchair will be seated in the back of the viewing area. Everyone will be seated during the show so this will give you a pretty decent view and a much better one than the area near the Mark Twain Riverboat which is a bit off center.

You will still need to join the virtual queue to access the viewing area but it doesn't matter what color you receive to sit in this area. Read our full guide to Fantasmic! at Disneyland to see how to get a spot in the queue.

World of Color

Just like Fantasmic!, World of Color also has a specific viewing area for guests that use wheelchairs/ECVs. This viewing is moved around more often than Fantasmic! so it's best to just arrive early and ask a cast member on where to go. Unfortunately, there's just no great way to view World of Color when using a wheelchair or ECV because of the way it is all set up. Many guests will end up with an obstructed view so it's best to prepare yourself for this possibility.

You will still need to join the virtual queue to access the viewing area but it doesn't matter what color you receive to sit in this area.

The best bet for a decent view is to purchase a spot for the World of Color Dessert Party which allows you to sit at a table during the performance. There are bar seated tables and regular ones so you could easily request a regular table and there would be space for a wheelchair/ECV user. Parades & Fireworks

For fireworks and parades you aren't limited to a specific viewing area and can find a spot anywhere! Although having to remain seated throughout a performance like a Disneyland parade or fireworks can obstruct your view so I recommend saving a spot early. This is also why I think it's a small world can be one of the most accessible places to view both parades and fireworks. There's so much more space that you will have more options to getting a better view if using a wheelchair or ECV.

If you're looking for that coveted castle view for fireworks, you can still try to get a spot near the castle even if using a wheelchair or ECV! There's one great spot that works perfect for this, line up facing the statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse in the hub. This circle pathway around the statue gets roped off to become a path during fireworks and if you're at the front of this rope, you will be able to stay seated in your wheelchair/ECV without too much obstructing your view (aside from those waking by!). If you're feeling really dedicated, you can also wait two hours at the very front viewing area of the fireworks! Again, wheelchairs/scooters can watch from anywhere during fireworks or parades so you have just as much of a right as anyone else to line up early.
