How do you get Tier 3 captains in Avorion? ›

A Lost Friend is the name of a randomly-generated mission appearing uncommonly on Bulletin Boards throughout the galaxy. This mission is one of the only ways to acquire a randomized Tier-3 Captain.

Captains gain experience by completing commands and the amount of experience is determined by the total time of the completed command, with each hour of duration giving 30 experience points.

In addition to giving orders to the captains directly, you can also enchain orders by holding the [SHIFT] key (by default). This way, you can set up a captain to work for some time, completing various tasks and reducing the need for micromanagement.

There are no limits to the size or complexity of your ship besides your resources. But there is also a creative mode where you can just build to your heart's content. You're not bound to the standard voxel style and while building an awesome ship in Avorion you won't get lost in lots and lots of micro-management.

Unlocking Tier 3 Troops requires an academy of level 15, and the Ballista's skill. Further research in the defence and attack skills will increase the stats of the Tier 3 Troops, and is a requirement to unlock Tier 4 Troops.

The Black Ox Hammer is a Tier III busting tool that offers good damage and stun capability. It requires a Workbench to craft as well as defeating black ox beetles to collect their parts in addition to some Pupa Leather. Crafting Recipe and Requirements: Black Ox Horn x1.

How do you trigger the AI in Avorion? ›

It has a 5% chance to spawn each time an empty sector is entered. A counter is incremented on every jump into an empty sector such that on the 10th consecutive jump into an empty sector, the AI is guaranteed to spawn.

In transport mode the station can be docked and moved with a ship, or even docked to another station to exchange goods between those stations.

6 turret slots refers too the amount of turrets on your ship. The maximum turret size is 3.5x3.
